This is a very personal decision. You should share your final Letter with trusted family members or friends. It is especially important to consider sharing a copy of your Letter with those individuals that are most likely to be involved in settling your affairs, like a surviving spouse or adult children.
If you do not want to share a copy of your Letter while you are living, you can save a printed copy with your other important documents and provide instructions to your family where it can be found.
You should be sure to tell them to access your Letter right away if it includes your preferences about any funeral arrangements.
